Who we are

ProofReaderz (proofreaderz.com) is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and provides non-generative language editing, proofreading and formatting. For any privacy question, email hello@proofreaderz.com or message +44 7446 971020 on WhatsApp.

What we collect

• Your name and WhatsApp number, when you message us.
• The documents you send for a quote or for editing.
• The details you give us about your deadline, word count and requirements.
• Payment confirmations. Card and bank details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us.
• This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we use it

To prepare your quote, deliver your edit, honour our guarantees and the Feedback-Round Re-Check, and keep the records that tax and accounting law require. The legal bases are performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running the service, and legal obligation.

Who sees it

• Your assigned editor, who works under a confidentiality agreement.
• WhatsApp (operated by Meta), which carries our messages.
• Our payment provider, to process payment.

We never sell your data, and we never use your documents for any other purpose, including training software.

How long we keep it

• Documents: until the 30-day guarantee and re-check period ends, then deleted. Ask, and we delete them sooner.
• Messages and payment records: as long as accounting law requires.

Where it is processed

We are based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and our editors may work in other countries. We share only what the edit needs, under confidentiality terms.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@proofreaderz.com. If you are unhappy with our response, you can contact the data protection authority where you live.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if anything changes and show the new date at the top.
