Terms of Service

The service

ProofReaderz, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, provides non-generative language editing, proofreading and formatting of documents that you have completed. We correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, clarity and consistency, apply style guides and format layout. We do not add content.

Academic integrity policy

We work only on documents you have completed yourself.
We correct and query. We never add arguments, analysis, data, sources, experiences or passages of our own.
Every change is a tracked change you accept or reject, so the final text is your decision.
When you order, you confirm the document is your own work and that your institution or publisher permits proofreading and editing.
We decline work where outside editing is not permitted, and we stop work if we find a document is not the client’s own.

Quotes and prices

Prices start from £25 per 1,000 words. Every order has a fixed quote stating the price, the service level and the delivery date and time. The price does not change after you accept it unless you change the document or the scope.

Payment terms are stated in your quote.

Delivery and the guarantee

We deliver by the date and time confirmed in your quote.
Our On-Time-or-Free Guarantee, 30-Day Missed-Error Guarantee and Feedback-Round Re-Check are set out in full on the guarantee page.

Your responsibilities

Review every tracked change and query before you use the document. You are responsible for the final version you submit or publish, and for following the rules of your institution or publisher.

What we do not promise

Editing improves language, consistency and formatting. We do not submit, place or publish documents. We do not promise grades, examination results or publication, because those decisions belong to others.

Cancellations

If you cancel before work starts, you pay nothing. If you cancel after work has started, you pay only for the words already edited.

Confidentiality and copyright

Your document is seen only by your assigned editor and used only to deliver your order. Copyright in your document stays with you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.
